Currently based in NYC, Natalia Sánchez is a Mexican multi-disciplinary artist that plays with movement and photography.
I was born and raised in Monterrey, México, where I began my education in various artistic mediums of visual and performing arts at institutions like Facultad de Artes Escénicas UANL in the Theatre Division Certificate, the University of Monterrey as a Graphic Design BFA, LCI Monterrey for Professional Photography Certificate, and Comunidad de Danza Urbana (CDU).
After becoming the Universidad de Monterrey Dance Group Artistic Director at 19 years old, I moved to New York City in 2020 to study at the Certificate Program in the Ballet/Contemporary Track at Peridance Center where I graduated with excellence. As a dancer, I’ve had the pleasure to collaborate with like-minded artists like Yara Travieso, Greg Dolbashian, Eilish Henderson, and César Brodermann to mention a few. As a choreographer, I’ve showcased dance films and stage works in venues in New York as Arts on Site, Triskelion Arts, Emelin Theater, Manhattan Movement Arts Center, and Universal Preservation Hall amongst others. My photographic work has been featured in art and dance magazines like Artistic Tribe, Broadway World, and The Dance Enthusiast.
I am currently working at American Ballet Theatre, Peridance Center, Wharton Works LLC, BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance, and as a freelance dancer, choreographer, and photographer around the New York State area.
